North West Air Ambulance Charity cards spread Festive Cheer

Date published: 09 December 2013

The North West Air Ambulance Charity has received a helping hand this year to keep its life-saving service in the air; with the aid of Highways Agency traffic officer and keen oil painter, Dave Taylor.

After seeing first hand the vital work that the North West Air Ambulance Charity do, Dave wanted to help the appeal and was thrilled to be approached by NWAA to design this year’s official Christmas card which combines festive cheer as well as highlighting the vital work that the charity delivers.

Dave Taylor comments: “As traffic officers we help manage the impact of serious incidents on the motorway network and often work closely with the North West Air Ambulance Charity to ensure that their helicopter has a safe area in which to land. We also see first hand the impact of their work which cuts vital minutes off the journey to hospital and gives patients a better chance of survival.”

“The Charity provides a key service and is also an integral part of the community and I wanted to capture this within my design. The image depicts a snowy scene with the helicopter, it’s crew and patients in a beautiful winter forest.”

Lynda Brislin, Chief Executive at North West Air Ambulance Charity says :“We are so grateful to The Highways Agency for their continued support and help with this year’s Christmas Card appeal. We love Dave’s card and can’t wait to send it out to all our supporters and volunteers; to help raise awareness of our vital work service.”

The official North West Air Ambulance Charity Christmas cards are available from http://www.christmas-cards.org.uk/nwairambulance/ priced at £4 for 10 cards.
