Falinge Park High School wins prize in national competition

Date published: 19 December 2013

Falinge Park High School has been awarded second prize in the Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition 2013 for the artwork displayed around the site of their new school building.

The hoardings were put together by a team of the school’s art students using both the school and Carillion logos. The three pieces of artwork depict the school before demolition, the steel frame of the new building and finally the building as it will look once completed.

The competition was to encourage the local community to get involved in designing some artwork with the theme of construction. The school was asked to create three designs based around the new school building.

Dale Fisher from Carillion said "We would like to express our thanks and congratulations to the school, the art students and of course to our site team who were able to make this happen."
