James Nuttall Transport fund raising for Springhill Hospice

Date published: 07 April 2014

Staff from James Nuttall Transport are fund raising for Springhill Hospice by taking part in the Hospice to Hospice walk and the Great Manchester Run.

Staff decided on the fund raising after a key member of their team, Pam Gibson, lost her fight against lung cancer in January.

Pam spent the last few weeks of her life at Springhill Hospice where friends of hers have described the care she received as “nothing short of amazing”.

Now, staff from James Nuttall Transport are taking part in two events to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice.

The Hospice to Hospice walk takes place on Sunday 27 April and will see those from James Nuttall Transport, along with other fund raisers walk from Springhill Hospice to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham. The length of the walk is 7.25 miles circular.

The BUPA Great Manchester Run will then take place on Sunday 18 May. The run is Europe’s biggest 10k running event with over a quarter of a million enthusiastic runners having previously taken part.

So far, staff have raised over £500 for the Hospice.
