Locking your windows and doors is easy and together with pupils at St Edmund’s RC Primary School, GMP is showing you how to stay safe and not let bad eggs ruin your Easter.

Pupils from the school have helped the Force produce a series of child’s play themed videos, which include home security, tell-tale signs of bogus callers as well as property marking and car security.

In the first video of the series the pupils explain the importance of keeping homes secure and locking windows and doors.

Greater Manchester Police crime prevention advisor, Julia Woodhouse said: “Easter is a time when families get together to enjoy the holidays. It is also a time when the weather gets warmer and windows are left open.

“While we don’t want to stop you from enjoying the sunshine it is important to protect yourself from becoming a target to opportunist thieves. If you are out for the evening make use of a light and timer switches to make your home look occupied, you should also consider installing a burglar alarm and ensure it is set before going out and retiring to bed.

“Finally it is important to keep doors and windows locked while unattended so as not to let in unwelcome guest. Don’t let bad eggs ruin your Easter.”
