Punch and Judy show at Queen's Park, Heywood
Date published: 22 April 2014
The friends of Queen’s Park group organised a free to attend Punch and Judy with magic show event for the families of Heywood and surrounding areas to enjoy on Sunday 21 April.
The warm weather and last day of the Easter school break made the event very popular with local resident with around 200 visitors watching the two thirty minute shows -performed by Paul from Story Magic Theatre.
The audience got into the spirit of the traditional popular puppet show by calling out to the characters on the stage to warn them of danger and clue them into what is going on behind their backs.
At the end of each 30 minute performance, Paul from Story Magic Theatre was on hand to offer balloon sculptures- all profits were donated to the Friends of Queen’s Park group, which will help finance future events planned throughout the summer in Queen’s Park.
