Entwisle Road Household Recycling Centre closure

Entwisle Road’s Household Waste Recycling Centre and Transfer Loading Station will close for business from 6pm on 13 January 2008. The Transfer Loading Station is used by residents travelling in vehicles over 5’9", and business customers.

Alternative facilities for residents travelling in vehicles over 5’9", and business customers are available at the following sites:

Rochdale Borough Council will be using the site to "bulk’ recyclable materials so that they can then be transported on for processing in reasonable sized loads. This facility will make the process as economically sound as possible and will also cut down on unnecessary journeys and the effects that extra trips would have on the environment.
