Myasthenia Gravis Association has become 'Myaware'

Date published: 23 June 2014

National registered charity; Myasthenia Gravis Association has become ‘myaware’.

Karl Parr, Chairman of North Manchester (Bury Rochdale, Oldham & Salford) Branch said:  "Our new name and look has been created with professional support and based on what our members told us in our extensive survey last year.

"We listened to what our members and supporters said and worked to create our new image which has been universally well received in various consultations with volunteers, staff and supporters.

"With it all in place, now is the time to get myaware noticed, get our branding out there and really raise awareness of myasthenia.

"We’ll then be able to do an even better job of supporting sufferers and working towards developing better treatments and maybe even a cure. We’re looking forward to working together to make our new brand and image a success.

"We are looking for adventurous people to support our local branches by taking part in a wide range of events which are happening in our area over the coming months. We have places at the zip slide event at the Manchester Imperial War Museum on 4 and 5 October and also at the abseil at Manchester’s Trafford Centre Bell Tower on 20 and 21  September. Registration is free to those who can commit to raising a minimum of £150 each for the events and we would be delighted to support anyone who would like to take part and support our small local branches."

Next local meeting:

Thursday 18 September 2014 – 7.30pm - Demesne Media Arts Centre, Bowness Road, Middleton, M24 4NU.
