The sun shone over Limefield Park today (Sunday 27 July) for Middleton’s annual festival – Middfest.

Organised by Middleton Round Table, the event saw hundreds of people come together to enjoy the activities and entertainment available.

Activities and entertainment included a fairground, live music, circus skills, Lancashire Hawks and Owls, vintage cars and face painting.

Moto Stunt International also put on daring stunt displays for the crowds and dance troupes from Rochdale and the surrounding areas competed in a dance competition.

Anthony Nicholson, from the Round Table, said: “Today has been great. Lots of people have turned up and it is definitely getting bigger and bigger each year. The weather has held up so that’s good as well. We had some rain last year but we have been lucky today and it has been great.”

Now in its 14th year, the festival is funded by a Middleton Township grant and is organised by the Round Table on behalf of the township.
