Barry Downes found not guilty of rape

Barry Downes (10/12/1984) of Durham Street, Rochdale has been found not guilty of charges of Rape.
The jury returned a unanimous verdict on all counts at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday 29 July).
On Saturday 4 January, a 32-year-old woman was attacked on Lincoln Close. In October 2013 there was an attempted rape on a 22-year-old woman on Oldham Road and in December 2013, a 28-year-old woman was falsely imprisoned at a house on Durham Street.
Mr Downes was charged with rape and attempted false imprisonment but was cleared of all charges.
