Date published: 15 August 2014

Klaudia Wojtczak has been selected as a finalist for Miss Teen Great Britain 2014 and will compete for the title in a competition on Sunday 31 August.

Klaudia, 17, from Kirkholt, will be competing for the title in Blackpool.

This is her first beauty competition and Klaudia is really enjoying the experience. She said: “It is really exciting but it is nerve wracking. I never expected to get this far and to think that I have been chosen as a finalist out of all of the girls that entered is weird.”

Currently known as Miss Teen Rochdale for the competition, Klaudia heard about the competition after doing a photo shoot and decided to give it a go. “I just thought I would try it and see what happened,” said Klaudia. “My parents and family have been really supportive of the whole thing.”

During the grand final, Klaudia and the other finalists will have to compete in a fashion show and an evening dress competition as well as taking part in photo shoots, a beauty queen challenge and a pyjama diva party.

Klaudia said: “I think by doing these competitions it will help build my confidence.”

Miss Teen Great Britain launched in 2011 as a way to create positive and confidence building experiences for young girls and teenagers. Miss Teen Great Britain is open to girls aged 15-19 with Junior Teen Great Britain open to girls aged between 11 and 15.

“I would like to do more competitions after this one. I think it has helped me build my confidence and doing more will help that grow,” said Klaudia.
