Location: Albert Royds Street & Shaw Street, Rochdale.
Period: 00:01 hours on 9 August until 24:00 hours on 7 September 2014.
Effect: Diversions in place. The alternative routes for vehicles are: 

  • Albert Royds Street – via Albert Royds Street, Milnrow Road, Molesworth Street, John Street, Yorkshire Street, Halifax Road and vice-versa. 
  • Shaw Street – via Shaw Street, Division Street, Clayton Street and vice-versa.

Traffic control: Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles along Albert Royds Street from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Roch Street, and along Shaw Street from its junction with Division Street to its junction with Halifax Road, to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing.

  • Elmsfield Avenue – Edenfield Road, Moorland Avenue, Bagslate Moor Road, Shelfield Lane, Elmsfield Avenue and vice versa. 
  • Moorland Avenue – Moorland Avenue, Edenfield Road, Bagslate Moor Road and vice versa.

  • Edenfield Road – from its junction with Caldershaw Road to its junction with Bagslate Moor Road. 
  • Elmsfield Avenue – from its junction with Edenfield Road for a distance of 5 metres in a westerly direction. 
  • Moorland Avenue – from its junction with Edenfield Road for a distance of 5 metres in a southerly direction. 

No two closures will be in operation at the same time.

Effect Due to the nature and duration of the event it is not necessary for alternative routes to be in place, with the exception of The Esplanade, for which the alternative route for vehicles is via Newgate, St Mary’s Gate, The Esplanade and vice-versa.

  • New Road – for its entire length. 
  • Halifax Road – from its junction with New Road to its junction with Entwisle Road.
