Increasing popularity of Rochdale Metrolink

The number of passengers using the Rochdale Metrolink has increased significantly over the past few months.
In July 2014, approximately 310,000 passengers on the Rochdale/Oldham line, up from 202,000 passengers in January
The Rochdale/Oldham line has proved popular with local residents since its arrival in 2013.
STORM has reported statistics that show that more commuters used the Metrolink than the Greater Manchester rail system in 2013.
Metrolink approximately saw 23,400 peak commuters per day across the whole system, whereas the Greater Manchester rail system approximately saw 17,500 peak commuters per day.
