Want to throw a bucket of ice water over Simon Danczuk?

Date published: 25 September 2014

Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk is to take part in the ice bucket challenge to raise money for the Carers Trust.

Hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity, which supports carers in our local area, Mr Danczuk has promised to let the person who makes the highest donation pour a bucket of ice water over his head.

“It’s a bit of fun and I want to raise some money for the real unsung heroes of Rochdale,” he said.

“The Carers Trust do some fantastic work and I’d like to show my appreciation for their tireless efforts by raising some funds for carers who offer unpaid care for a friend or family member who could not cope without their support.”

He plans to take the ice bucket challenge on 12pm, Thursday 2 October at Mecca Bingo, Rochdale.
