Milnrow and Newhey Carnival Committee donate funds to local causes

Date published: 22 October 2014

Due to the success of this year’s Milnrow and Newhey Carnival, the carnival committee has been able to donate money to a number of local causes.

Cheques were presented to the chosen organisations by Loz Copping, a local Captain Jack Sparrow entertainer.

A spokesperson for the committee said: “We would like to thank all who participated in this year's carnival and attended the summer fete. We look forward to next year's carnival set for Saturday 13 June."

The committee has donated money to:

  • Callum Crombie Spinal Rehabilitation Unit - £500
  • Rochdale Heartbeat - £200
  • Macmillan Nurses - £200
  • Charles Lane Pre-School - £100
  • Abracadabra Pre-School - £100
