Meena Bazaar for Christmas

Date published: 21 December 2014

A bazaar held at Castlemere Community Centre on Saturday (20 December) afternoon got members of the local community into the festive spirit.

Organised by Sabiha Khan, the event included a number of stalls and games for those in attendance.

Sabiha said: “We usually hold a bazaar every few months and with it being Christmas we thought it was the perfect time to do one and get the community together and in the Christmas spirit.”

Stalls at the event included sweets, cakes, jewellery, scarves and perfumes and activities for children included a bouncy castle, face painting and fair ground style games.

“We have a Frozen theme going on as well for the children and that is going down really well,” added Sabiha. “It is a bit quieter than usual and I don’t know if that is down to people getting ready for Christmas but it has gone well, we are really pleased.”
