Appeal for donations for Springhill Hospice Spring Fair

Date published: 25 February 2015

The annual Springhill Hospice Spring Fair is fast approaching and the organisers are looking for donations of goods for the event as soon as possible.

This year’s fair will take place on Sunday 22 March.

Melanie Caffrey, Fundraiser at Springhill Hospice, said: “Each year our Spring Fair has been going from strength to strength and that is due to the amount of quality items donated. The fairs raise a fantastic amount of money each year for the Hospice and it never fails to amaze me how generous people are and the support they offer.

“In particular we are looking for donations of home bake, bottles, children’s toys, tombola and raffle prizes and quality bric-a-brac.”

The Spring Fair includes a number of stalls, a selection of games and Easter gift ideas and lots more.

Entrance to the fair is completely free with a free park and ride service operating from Gordon Riggs. Extra parking is also being offered at the fundraising headquarters at the Craven on Broad Lane.

Ms Caffrey concluded: “This time of the year is a wonderful time to have a spring clean, but don’t through away your nic-nacs, bric-a-brac and unwanted gifts, donate them to the Hospice.

"The Spring Fair is such a lovely day for all the family and I really hope people will support us.”

Anyone wishing to donate goods to the Hospice, please call the fundraising office on 01706 641790 or take them directly to the Craven, Broad Lane between 9am and 3.30pm.
