Wella done Sara Waddington
Date published: 31 March 2015
Sara Waddington has been selected to compete in the Northern regional heat of the Wella Professional student competition – Wella Xposure.
To win the first round, entrants had to create a commercial cut, colour and style and submit a photograph of their finished look to the judges. Sara, 41, from Norden, Rochdale, who is in her final year studying hairdressing at Hopwood Hall College, created her winning look on fellow hairdressing student Mia Ravey.
She submitted her photo and was delighted to find out that her work had been selected by the judges. Sara said: “It is great news to have won a place in this year’s regional Wella Exposure competition. I am looking forward to developing my skills further for this and other future competitions. I hope this also encourages other mature students that they can do it too. It’s never too late to go back to college for a career change.”
The overall winner of the competition will walk away with a great prize including a day shadowing a hairdressing icon, £1,000 worth of Wella training vouchers, a tool kit to the value of £500 and a trophy.
