Rochdale Sixth Form College students recently performed Grease the musical, to fully sold-out audiences, over three nights.
Students auditioned for the opportunity before spending months rehearsing ahead of their live performances. James Goodwin and Emma Konnanov, both students of Drama and Theatre Studies played love-birds Danny and Sandy.
A-level students of any discipline could take part in the production, giving students the chance to try their hand at something new.
Josh Toft-Wild, studying Dance, Drama and Theatre Studies and English Literature, comments: “The musical was such a success and we all had a great time taking part.
"Dance is my passion but what’s great about the college production is that even students that don’t study performing arts can take part - it’s really just such a shame that it’s all over.”
Gabs Hill, Teacher of Dance at the college, said: “The creative team are very proud of the cast members hard work, professionalism and commitment to the musical, and we thoroughly enjoyed working with them throughout the rehearsal process. The production was a great success and it was fantastic to see the cast grow into confident, aspirational performers that showed their passion for the art.”
