Crime Scene Investigators at the scene off Albert Royds Street were human remains have been found
Foul play has been ruled out after human remains were discovered in a wooded area off Albert Royds Street.
It is understood a full body was found but there was no sign of trauma. It is expected to take up to 10 days to establish the cause of death as the body had been there for months.
Officers were called to the wooded area near Albert Royds Street on Tuesday after a teenager found a skull.
More human remains were found after the scene was sealed off and forensic examinations were carried out.
Greater Manchester Police said a post-mortem examination found "no evidence of third-party involvement".
It is currently unclear excatly how long the remains had been at the site, though it is believed to be many months.
