College staff get sporty

Date published: 23 July 2015

Staff at Hopwood Hall College got the chance to get sporty recently as they took part in the College’s annual health and well-being day.

It was a full on day of sporting activities for the staff. From body combat practices and rounders competitions to a tug-of-war, aerobics classes and table tennis tournaments, there was something for everyone to get involved in. There was even a game of bubble football – where players are encased in an inflatable plastic ring - and an obstacle course run by the Fusiliers.

As all that activity can be exhausting, there were also a number of activities for the staff to take part in, to cool down. These included meditation classes and Reiki sessions, a technique which channels energy to activate natural healing – something the staff needed after all their hard work.

At the end of the day prizes were given out for the winners of each sporting competition. Staff commented that they had really enjoyed the day.
