Springhill Hospice

Over 100 people attended the Hospice ‘Heartfelt’ Art Exhibition last week to look at the work of Hospice patients.

The Hospice have had a good week this week for Hospice Care Week and have made canvasses, which contain people’s thoughts and ideas about the Hospice.

A band night took place at St Mary’s Church in High Crompton to raise money for the Hospice on Friday 9 October.

This year’s Santa Dawdle or Dash will take place on Sunday 13 December. Details of how to enter can be found at:

The Tea Room will be closing at 2pm on Tuesday 13 October. Normal opening hours will resume on Wednesday 14 October.

With the Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair only weeks away, if anyone has anything that can be donated for tombolas, the Hospice will accept donations. Donations can be dropped off at Springhill Hospice, any of the Hospice Shops or the Springhill Hospice Tea Room and Gift Shop.

Man of Rochdale

Every year Springhill Hospice holds a special luncheon to honour one special man with the Man of Rochdale award. Now in its 22nd year, the award is given to one man from the borough as a way of celebrating their outstanding contributions.

Nominations for this year’s award close on Monday 26 October and the luncheon will take place on Friday 27 November. Details of how to nominate someone can be found at:
