A 24-year-old male was arrested for breaching a court order.

A 41-year-old male was arrested on Monday (5 October) evening for assault and theft.

A 21-year-old male was arrested for threats to damage property.

A man was arrested on suspicion of committing an immigration offence.

John Byrne (09/09/1978), from Rochdale, has been charged with possessing class A drugs. Byrne was bailed at Bury Custody Office pending further enquiries.

James Merrick (30/11/1990), from Middleton, has been charged with breaching a court order and was conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court.

Iftikhar Ahmed (25/07/1976), from Rochdale, was charged and conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court for breaching his bail conditions.

A 37-year-old Rochdale man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Darren Hammonds (20/01/1983), from Rochdale, has been charged with theft from a shop and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 20 November.

A 22-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

Wednesday 7 October

A 33-year-old male, from Rochdale, has been charged with criminal damage and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 26 October.

A man was arrested for public order offence and criminal damage.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for public order offence and breach of a court order.

A 29-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy - burglary with intent to steal.

Christian Earnshaw (14/06/1982), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class B and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 13 November.

Mohammed Khan (14/08/1989), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class A and of class B with intent to supply. Khan is bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 13 November.

Joshua Oakes (29/09/1995), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class A and of class B with intent to supply. Oakes is bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 13 November.

Thursday 8 October

A Rochdale man was arrested for revocation of licence and breach of a restraining order.

A man, aged 26, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Queensway, Rochdale.

A 27-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and a drugs offence.

A man was arrested on suspicion of stalking and breaching a restraining order.

A female was arrested for breach of bail.

A 33-year-old male was arrested on warrant for failing to appear at a court of law when instructed to do so.

A male, aged 37, was arrested for assault.

Friday 9 October

A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of committing a serious assault.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on warrant for failing to appear at court.

A 17-year-old male, from Rochdale, has been arrested on warrant for breaching his bail conditions.

A 41-year-old man, from Rochdale, has been arrested on warrant and was conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court.

Lee Atkinson (27/07/1986), from Rochdale, has been charged with drink driving and was conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court.

A 63-year-old man has been arrested for theft.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested for breaching his bail conditions.

Mark Bland (21/10/1982), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with committing a serious assault - wounding with intent and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 20 November.

Ben Murray (27/03/1994), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with threats to kill and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 26 October.

Police in Heywood have had a number of burglaries reported over the last week around the Newhouse Road Estate. Offenders are gaining access to the properties though the rear gardens and forcing entry to doors and windows. These crimes are happening both during the day and at night. Police have seized two vehicles which they believe may have been involved in one of the burglaries on Thursday (8 October) and enquiries are ongoing.
