Dale extends Dale stay
Date published: 16 September 2009
Oldham midfielder Dale Stephens has extended his loan spell with Rochdale by another month.
Dale boss Keith Hill was keen to retain the services of Stephens as the only recognised midfielder available should one of regular duo Gary Jones and Jason Kennedy not be available.
With Ciaran Toner out injured for some time and Clark Keltie completely out of favour Spotland, Hill was eager to renew the deal.
Stephens has made one appearance in a Dale shirt so far; coming on as a second half substitute at Morecambe and scoring the memorable goal that completed Dale's comeback from three goals down.
Oldham can recall Stephens at any time by giving 24 hours notice should they require his services.
