Dale hoping to extend Taylor stay
Date published: 13 January 2010
Rochdale are hoping that midfielder Jason Taylor will remain with the club for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old has been on loan at Dale from League Two promotion rivals Rotherham for the last two months and talks are ongoing between the two clubs about extending the deal to the end of the current campaign.
Taylor had not appeared for Rotherham since the arrival of manager Ronnie Moore but has started every game for Rochdale since he arrived at Spotland in November.
His performances have helped push Dale to the top of the table and Keith Hill's men are yet to be beaten with Taylor in the side.

After all the talk about us having to sell to balance the books this is finally something positive.
Jason has been a great addition to the side, and to keep the likes of Gary Jones and Cairan Toner out of the team is somewhat remarkable.
Competition all over the field is vital to keep the players sharp and keen.
Up the Dale!
