Player of the Season evening

Date published: 31 March 2014

Rochdale Football Club's Player of the Season evening will give supporters the chance to vote for the goal of the season, with the short-listed goals being shown on the various screens throughout the night. Supporters will also have the opportunity to mingle with the Dale players who will be in attendance until the end of the Awards’ Ceremony, and there will be a DJ playing afterwards.

The event, in the Dale Bar on Saturday 26 April starting at 6.30pm, is a pay what you want event, with a suggested minimum payment of £2. All funds will go directly to Grow4Joe – the charity set up by former Dale player Joe Thompson for research into Leukaemia and Lymphoma following his diagnosis late last year.

As well as the awards, there’ll be the usual speeches, free programme and a raffle, again all funds will go directly to Grow4Joe. There’ll also be a special Dale poster being given away to those under sixteen to collect autographs on the night from their Dale heroes.

Tickets are expected to go very quickly for this event, and should results go the club and supporters would like, it could be the night to celebrate with the players themselves.

Tickets will be available from Saturday 5 April from the Trust desk before the home games with York, Southend and Cheltenham (subject to availability), and from the club shop and ticket office at all other times.
