Sean McGinty signs permanent deal with Dale
Date published: 20 May 2014
Sean McGinty has agreed a permanent deal with Rochdale Football Club, following his departure from Sheffield United.
The defender, who spent six weeks on loan at Dale from the Blades during the 2013/14 season, has signed a one-year-deal, effective from July.
The 20-year-old is the fourth player to commit his future to Rochdale since Friday, and joins Jack Muldoon, Steve Collis and Josh Lillis in agreeing terms.
Assistant Manager Chris Beech commented: “I know the supporters didn’t get to see too much of Sean while he was on loan, but Sean comes from a great stock of pedigree after being at Manchester United from the age of 14.
“He’s got a very good left foot, he’s of good stature, he’s of good size, he’s still got lots of potential, so it fits us.”
