Keith Hill looking ahead to Doncaster game

Manager Keith Hill has been reflecting on Tuesday night's FA Cup tie v Northampton Town, as well as looking ahead to Saturday's League One encounter against Doncaster Rovers.

"I’m pleased with winning the game and pleased with the players responding to what I had to say at half time. You can make yourself vulnerable as a Manager by being too honest at half time but I think my appraisal of the game and of the first half was correct.

"The players put a half decent display on after the break. It was more full of energy, there’s no question about that, and I think we struck the right balance. It’s difficult when you’re without key players because you’re always trying to come up with a balanced side - a balanced side is a winning side.

"Arguably on Saturday I tried to get the balance right and I think we got the possession side of the game correct. We readjusted things for Tuesday and it didn’t quite look right, but obviously we readjusted things from the bench and it got better.

"We’re now going into the third game without Ian Henderson but we’re looking to get three points against a very good Doncaster side.

"I have to make sure that I strike the right balance between the players that we’ve got available so we can get it right when we're without players like were on Tuesday night when were without Jack O’Connell, Peter Vincenti and Ian Henderson.

"It’s a difficult task at times but I believe that we’ve got solutions within the changing rooms and I’ll come up with a selection plan for Saturday’s game against Doncaster."
