Rochdale Football Club can confirm that Matty Done has completed a move to Sheffield United, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.
He joins the Blades for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old leaves Spotland after a second spell at the club.
Done first arrived at Dale in 2010 and went on to join Barnsley a year later. After a two year stint at Oakwell, Done returned to Spotland in the summer of 2013. He made 44 appearances in all competitions for Keith Hill’s side last season, including 30 starts, and went on to sign a new two year contract last May.
A left-back for the second half of last season’s promotion campaign, Done has been a revelation since moving up front this season and has scored 14 goals in 30 appearances.
A club spokesperson said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to Matty for his hard-work, endeavour and commitment during his time at Spotland, as well as wishing him the very best of luck for the future."
