Dale proud to support Rochdale Half Marathon, 10k and Fun Run Event

Rochdale Football Club is proud to be supporting Rochdale Half Marathon, 10k and Fun Run.

Taking place for the first time this August, runners will get on their marks by Rochdale Town Hall and set out on a traffic-free courses as they complete a half marathon, 10K or 1 mile fun run, and Dale staff will be joining them.

Goldbond’s Phil Worthington is taking on the challenge of the half marathon, while the Academy’s Ryan Ball, Media Officer Leighanne Coyle and Sales and Marketing Manager Frances Fielding are amongst those who will run the 10K race.

The club’s mischievous mascot, Desmond the Dragon, will be making a guest appearance and will take part in the 1 mile fun run. The Dale in the Community Sports Trust team will also be there on the day.

Frances Fielding commented: “This is an exciting new event for Rochdale so we are keen to have a presence there.

“Club staff have already signed up for the various races and we’re now looking for Dale fans do the same and join us on the day.

“We’d love to see supporters out in force in their Rochdale shirts.”

The event takes place on Sunday 23 August. Registration is open now.
