Dale promotion push dealt a blow!

Rochdale AFC's promotion push has been dealt a blow after it was confirmed that goalkeeper Sam Russell may not play again until April.

The 25-year-old has been told he could be sidelined for six weeks after breaking a finger in the 2-1 defeat at Lincoln City earlier this month.

Dale are keen to recall Lloyd Rigby from his loan spell at Vauxhall Motors as cover for James Spencer, who is expected to start this weekend's crucial League Two clash with Wycombe Wanderers.

Russell has made 17 appearances for the club since moving to Spotland from Darlington last summer.
