Daisi Daniels clean sweep at the Artemis Anglo Scottish Cup & BSA Championships

Daisi Daniels had a clean sweep at the Artemis Anglo Scottish Cup & BSA Championships held in Les Houches France last week.

Daisi, 13, who attends Beech House School in Rochdale and trains at the Chill Factore in Manchester in the summer months, travelled to Les Houches, France straight after Christmas for the races.

The races take part over four days held on a part of the famous World Cup Piste Kandahar, Mont Blanc.

Day One - The first days races of the season was the British Ski Academy Champs Slalom race, 45 gates long. Weather being very wet, cold and snowy Daisi put in two good solid runs to take a 0.88 lead and a storming first Gold of the season.

Day Two - was the Artemis Anglo Scottish Cup Slalom races Daisi putting in another super first run putting her into nearly a two second lead but with another run still to compliant anything could happen. Daisi made a few mistakes in run two but she still managed to take the lead by 1.96 to secure her second Gold in two days.

Day Three - was the Artemis Anglo Scottish Cup Giant Slalom a 34 gate long course and another early morning start, the race began. Daisi, fifth out the gate, skied her way with two more excellent runs to win her third Gold with an impressive 7.61 second lead.

Day Four - was the British Ski Academy Champs Giant Slalom races with a few mistakes Daisi was lying in secopnd place after the first run but only by 0.31 so second run was everything to go for, with determination Daisi flew out the gate and stormed in a another solid run to win again by a clear 1.91 second lead, her fourth Gold and secured the overall title.

Daisi's next race was her third International Race for Team GB at the end of January which she was selected to represent the Great Britain at the International Children's Race Trofeu Borrufa 2016 in Andorra where she put in a respectable performance by gaining a sixth in Slalom, sixth in SG, ninth in Giant Slalom and seventh on the last day in another Super G, all contributing to the team result that put the GBR team on the podium in third place in the overall children's team event, which is one of the best ever gained at an international children's race.

Daisi has also been selected to represent the GBR in Topolino in March this year and is looking forward to the English Championships in Bormio in February.
