Lancashire U12s Festival finals

Date published: 16 April 2016

Littleborough Rugby Union Club Under 12s have beaten all before them and now they arrive at their final stop, Aldwinians RUFC for the Lancashire Festival finals on Sunday (17 April)

The impressive Littleborough juniors aim to complete a perfect season by taking home the crown of being named as Lancashire's best under 12 side after qualifying with an exemplary record against some good teams.

The qualification consisted of 20 teams with the top two teams from each of the three pools qualifying and the two top ranked third placed sides making up the eight participating in the festival.

Littleborough boys won five out of their six games and drew with Manchester to ensure guaranteed qualification and top seeding as did fellow rivals Manchester.

They have not lost a game this season, going from strength to strength.

A real signature of this team this season has been togetherness and a willingness to battle and work hard for one another and has ultimately produced brilliant results.

Most of the team have been together since they were six/seven years old and have built up a bond that you can see on and off the pitch.

Most of the team now attend Wardle Academy and play for an unbeaten school team rugby league team.
