Can Cobras make it two years unbeaten?

Date published: 12 May 2016

Rochdale Cobras host Garswood Stags on Saturday at home in a top of the table clash, and with every other Rochdale rugby league club away its building up to be a great spectacle.

Cobras home ground, Firgrove, has now been renamed by the locals as "Fortress Firgrove", Cobras having not lost a league or cup game there since summer 2014, so the pressure is on for the men in black to both seal their position at the top of the table and maintain their record.

Cobras will have to be on their 'A' game as Garswood are unbeaten this season and will be looking to maintain their run.

Cobras played Garswood last season both home and away and only just came away with spoils so whilst Cobras coach James Tilly is confident he is also cautious, he said: "Garswood will no doubt be the stiffest opposition we have faced this season but the lads are well up for it.

"We went really well against Cadishead last week, not many teams at this level will go there and get a victory as they are a very strong side.

"We go into this week off a good win and a 100% record and I'm sure that all of the lads want to keep that record going."
