Rochdale AFC Ladies Open Day

Rochdale AFC Community Trust team are holding a Ladies Open Day on Sunday for those interested in representing Rochdale Football Club.

After increasing the number of age groups dedicated to girls’ football at the club this season, Rochdale AFC’s ladies teams are continuing to go from strength to strength.

Over 80 youngsters across a range of age groups – under 9s to under 16s – currently form the Dale girls’ set-up.

The club on the look-out for players to represent the club at under 9s, under 10s, under 11s, under 12s, under 13, under 14, under 15, under 16 and under 17 age groups.

The open day takes place Sunday 15 May at the Soccer Factory, Rochdale, from 11am to 1pm.

Anyone who is interested should just turn up on the day. Those who attend will take part in fun coaching sessions and 5-a-side games.


Cycle To Amsterdam: Over £1,500 raised so far, £2,000 is the target

In less than a month, Dale supporters Simon Hammonds and Peter Oliver will get on their bikes to represent Rochdale Football Club at this year’s Cycle to Amsterdam Challenge.

By signing up for the challenge, they’ve joined 500 other fans/club staff from across the football league in pledging to raise money (a minimum of £1,000 each) for Prostate Cancer UK.

So far, the pair have raised almost 80-percent of their total target, thanks to donations from friends, family and fellow Dale supporters, but need one last push to get them over the finish line.

2016/17 Replica Kit Update

Delivery of junior shirts have arrived at the club shop.

The following junior sizes are now in stock:

Home - small, medium and large
Away - small, medium, large and extra large

Infant kits (sizes 6-12 months through to 6-7 years) and the XL junior home shirts are due to arrive by the end of next week (Friday 20 May).

Junior shirts and infant kits are priced at £30.

When ordering adult replica shirts, please note the new shirts are of a slimmer fit and therefore two inches smaller across the chest. Please consider this when ordering online. You may need to order one size bigger if you prefer a looser fitting shirt.

Rochdale AFC Inaugural Year One Schools Cup Tournament

Over 300 Year One children from 27 different primary schools across Rochdale Borough will take part in the Rochdale AFC Inaugural Year One Schools Cup Tournament.

The tournament is designed to give every Year One pupil in Rochdale the opportunity to say "I played at Spotland" and for the Rochdale AFC Academy to spot the most talented Year One footballers and promote the club's educational and community pathways.

All children will receive a medal for taking part and the top teams will play for a place in the quarter finals.
