Harrison McGahey has signed a 2-year deal with Rochdale AFC, who moves to Dale from Sheffield Utd
Harrison McGahey has agreed to join Dale when his contract at Sheffield United expires later this month. The 20-year-old has signed a two-year-deal, effective from 1 July.
McGahey leaves Sheffield after two years at Bramall Lane.
After spells at Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool as a youngster, McGahey joined Blackpool at the age of 14 and went on to make his professional debut for Blackpool in 2014. That summer, he joined Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old defender is looking forward to the season ahead.
“I’m excited to be here,” said McGahey.
“I’m definitely looking forward to the challenge and to the season ahead. When I spoke to the Gaffer he told me what he wanted me to do and I liked what he had to say. I had no doubts about signing here. I’m looking forward to working under the Gaffer and the coaching staff.”
