Keith Hill on recruitment

“The majority of our business this summer will be retaining the players that we’ve got and then progressively building on what we’ve already got going into pre-season and into August, because we all know the loan window closes at the end of August.

“It’s going to be an interesting early part of the season and an interesting summer because there will be a lot of players who will start panicking when they’re out of contract in the next two weeks.

“There will be a lot of good pick-ups. I’ve got to use a keen eye and patience.

“I wouldn’t say we were dream makers but we put players on the map. We can do that, there’s no question about that. We can do it as a club because we’re brutally honest in our appraisal of players.

“I get a great sense of pride when I see players who I have worked with at any level going on to make it, and make it big. I get a lot of gratitude from that and the players do too, because when I see them, we have that spirit and the kind of friendship that will last a long, long time.”

An exciting opportunity for supporters…

With preparations for the start of the 2016-17 campaign in full swing, plans are being put in place for the Club's latest advertising campaign, and the Club wants fans to feature in it.

Supporters of all ages are being invited to go to Spotland on Saturday 25 June to be photographed for the campaign, which will be used to promote the start of the new season.

Ideally, those who attend should wear either the 2016-17 home or away shirt, or the green and black shirt. Errea training wear from the 2015-16 season will also be suitable.

To be involved, all you need to do is turn up at Spotland Stadium on Saturday 25 June for a 10am start. You will be met in the car park.
