Family Fun Day at Hornets on Sunday

Date published: 29 June 2016

Rochdale Hornets return to Spotland Stadium after their mid-season mini tour and it isn't just a lush pitch that lays in wait.

From 12 o'clock families can head to Spotland and enjoy numerous activities in the Family Fun zone.

Children's rides and stalls as well as inflatables will be on offer, as well as various activities provided by the Hornets Sporting Foundation including the Wheelchair team hosting relay races and a half back challenge.

Team Karting will be setting up a Go Kart Track for budding Lewis Hamilton's to have a spin on, but don't go too fast, as Greater Manchester Police will also be at the event with officers and vehicles.

The army will also be on hand for those wishing to test their sharp shooting skills as they bring a paintball/air soft range and the RochdaleRugbyShack will be having a flash sale on kids hoodies and polos.

Last but by no means will least, The Flying Horse are providing alcohol free cocktails from a tiki bar as well as serving up classic BBQ food.

And is if that wasn't enough, you can grab a cup cake from Red Butterfly Bakery before heading into the Stadium for the Rochdale Hornets v Keighley Cougars Kingstone Press League One fixture, which kicks off at 3.00pm.

Spotland Stadium is the place to be this weekend as the Hornets return home.

There is no entry fee for the fun zone, match tickets can be purchased in advance on line for just £1 children.

For those wanting to make their day extra special, pre match dining is available priced at just £25 which includes a 2 course meal, match tickets, programmes and hospitality seating.
