Date published: 07 July 2016

Jack Morley, a 15-year-old Heywood Cricket Club player, has made it through the North of England trials to earn selection for the Bunbury Cricket Festival.

Morley is one of four Lancashire lads selected in the final 13-player squad for the Under-15s tournament.

The event, at Radley College in Oxfordshire, which runs from 17-22 July, has been a breeding ground for players to start illustrious careers in the past.

He broke into Heywood’s first team last season and has been a fixture ever since, impressing everyone with his undoubted talent and temperament.

A club spokesman said: "Now everyone at Crimble wishes him every success at the Bunbury Festival as he continues to climb the cricket ladder."
