Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club competitions

Juniors and Masters from Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club (HLRC) have been busy competing at regattas over the last few months.

At the Durham City Regatta, Keith Lawton, Nigel Price, Tim Booth and Graham Price won in the Masters E coxless quad.

The juniors went up to the Tees Regatta and had a first time win in the double for Harry Heywood and Nic Friend in the J15 category.

Maggie Page and Rosie Pickles had a WJ14 doubles win, and Sally Tisdall won in the WJ15 singles.

At the British Rowing National Masters Regatta in Nottingham, the coxless quad of Keith Lawton, Nigel Price, Tim Booth and Graham price put in an excellent performance to win gold medals in the Masters E race.

In the Masters E double, Keith Lawton and Tim Booth won silver medals.

In the Women's Masters D race, Penny Price and Jane Dickman won silver medals.

Paul Gooder and Paul Clay won bronze medals in the Masters G doubles.

The York Summer Regatta saw a mixture of juniors and masters racing.

Maggie Page and Rosie Pickles won in the WJ14 doubles race, and Maggie won in the WJ14 singles competition.

Tim Booth and Keith Lawton won in the Masters D doubles category, and Tim won in the Masters E singles race.

HLRC was represented by Tom Swithenbank who had an excellent win in the J16 singles competition.

At the Henley Masters Regatta, the coxless quad of Keith Lawton, Nigel Price, Tim Booth and Graham Price had another win in the Masters E race.

Club captain, Ian John, said: "It is great to see so many club members training hard and being rewarded with excellent wins from the youngest juniors at their first regattas, to masters competing and winning at the highest level."
