Aughey maiden half century not enough for Rochdale to see off Walsden

Date published: 19 July 2016

A maiden half century from Kelton Aughey was not enough for Rochdale to stave off defeat against league leaders Walsden on Saturday.

Heavy overnight rain rendered the game a 36 over affair, Walsden making 148 for 9 from theirs.

Rochdale never found enough momentum although the point gleaned thanks to Aughey may help in their quest for a Lancashire Cup spot.

Scores

Walsden 148 for 9 (Nick Barker 41)
Rochdale 116 for 6 (K. Aughey 50 not out)
