Date published: 09 August 2016

Roach Dynamos Junior Football Club held their 16th Annual Roach Dynamos Tournament on the first weekend in August in glorious sunshine.

Teams travelled from far and wide to take part including Wrexham, Liverpool, the North East and local surrounding areas.

Over the two days there were over 90 teams playing grassroots football, enjoying some friendly competition and tasty food prepared by volunteers from the club.

There was also a surprise visit to the proceedings from Mayor and Mayoress, Ray and Elaine Dutton.

Mark Newbon, Roach Dynamos Junior Football Club, said: “The Mayor and Mayoress took part in a photo opportunity with the club's youngest players. I want to thank them for supporting the football club at their annual event.”

Club chairman, Paul Wright said: “I would like to thank the club's committee and the group of volunteers who supported the event to ensure it went to plan and to all who attended and enjoyed the football, refreshments and their visit to Heywood.”
