TBD Chartered Accountants trophy tour

Date published: 16 November 2016

TBD Chartered Accountants has agreed a unique sponsorship partnership with Rochdale Hornets.

The local accountancy firm, which has undergone a recent re-branding, is taking the Kingston Press League One Trophy, which was won by Hornets in September, on a tour of local businesses in Rochdale.

The trophy will be taken by either a first team player or the head coach to visit any business in the town. It will give them the chance to have their photo taken with the trophy, have a chat with player or the coach and meet with the representatives of TBD.

Katie Bowmer, Sales & Marketing Director at TBD, is really excited about the innovative approach to business development, she said: “We like to think of ourselves as more than just accountants and by linking with the Hornets and taking the League One Trophy on tour, we are bringing a little bit of excitement and civic pride into the local business community.”

“It will be great for business owners, staff and customers to be able to get up close and personal with a major sporting trophy and to appreciate the pride that we have in our local rugby league club and their success.”

Alan Kilshaw, Hornets Head Coach, is keen to support the initiative, he said: “It was a great honour for the club to win that trophy and it demonstrated the pride that the players, fans and sponsors have in their town and their rugby league club.”

“Our victory against the odds in France to lift the trophy really captures the determination and the ability that we as a club and the people of this town can demonstrate in the face of adversity. To share this with the local business community and our friends at TBD Chartered Accountants is a fantastic opportunity”
