Rochdale AFC Academy has been named as the number one academy

Date published: 18 January 2017

For a second consecutive year, the Rochdale AFC Academy has been named as the number one academy in the country for productivity at category three level.

The latest statistics, which take into account the last three seasons (2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16), also show that Rochdale is ranked second out of the 72 EFL clubs and third out of the 92, for producing players - up from sixth and 12th, respectively, last year.

The measurement of productivity includes all player production by Dale, including players developed at the club who are now playing elsewhere.

Rochdale Football Club has a long list of academy graduates currently involved in the first team squad, including Callum Camps, Jamie Allen and Andy Cannon.

The club is a Category Three Academy, as classified under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
