Rugby Union: Georgia Turner picked for Lancashire U15s

Date published: 14 February 2017

Georgia Turner, who has recently celebrated her 14th birthday, has made the North of England squad for three matches against Southern regions.

Competing against 60 other girls from all county squads in the North, including Yorkshire, Cumbria, Cheshire and Durham, the Littleborough forward went in as Lancashire U15s top pick and lived up to the billing when she was selected in the final 30 strong squad.

Georgia will be attending extra training sessions on Monday evenings as well as travelling to Denby Dale for weekend long academy camps in mid-February and March to prepare for fixtures against equivalent South, South East and South West academy sides.

The fixtures take place at Birmingham Exiles' home ground, Old Damson Lane in Solihull, on 2 and 23 April with the final game being played on 7 May.
