Black belts: Ali Ahmed and Ikram Irfan

Ali Ahmed and Ikram Irfan gained their black belts, after a number of previous attempts, at The DOJO Karate Centre on Sunday 5 February.

Sensei Irfan Ansari, the head coach said: “Both Ali and Ikram are a shining example to all that if you quit when things get a little difficult, then you’ll never achieve things that matter in life.

“They have shown that failure is not defeat but only a lack of experience, and, that with perseverance and diligence we can all achieve whatever we want provided we stick to it.

“Their achievement also consolidates that good things come to those who are patient, something rarely found among the young today. I’m very pleased with their achievement.”
