This weekend's inexplicable result with Littleborough winning at almost a point per minute of the match this occurred whilst Littleborough’s coach, Richard Rawlinson was unable to be present at the match to witness the result of his labour.

Within minutes Littleborough were ahead via a Ben Irving run and pass for Andy Bairstow to score Littleborough’s first try. No conversion.

An attack by Cosmin Rosu led to Littleborough's second try by Richard Taylor. No conversion.

A good wing run by David Kearns led to the third try, scored by winger Nathan Coop. No conversion.

Kearns again made a break before passing the ball to Taylor for him to score his second try. Converted by Chris Park.

Littleborough’s forwards pushed a set scrum and gave No 8, Ben Irving the opportunity to pick up and cross the line for Littleborough’s fifth try. No conversion.

Jack Whittle broke forward then passed the ball onto Matthew Goldthorpe for yet another Littleborough try. Converted by Park.

Half time: Littleborough RUFC 41 - 0 Workington RUFC

Mark Murgatroyd and Paul Fino were replaced by Josh Ellidge and Cosmin Rosu for Littleborough.

Immediately from kick off Littleborough, now playing up the slight slope, went on the attack again with Kearns going over. Park converting.

The rest of the half was one way traffic with Littleborough running in another four tries and Park successful with every conversion.

Andy Bairstow scored his second try of the game. Park adding the two points.

Goldthorpe crossed the line for his second try. Park converting.

Whittles crossed the line for Littleborough’s 12th try of the match. Park on target with the conversion.

Littleborough have a rest day next Saturday with no fixture planned.
