Rochdale Hornets launches new website

Date published: 17 March 2017

Rochdale Hornets has launched a new website that the club hopes will be a one stop shop for supporters and visitors to The Crown Oil Arena.

The new site is compatible with mobile phones and tablets, making it very user friendly and easy to navigate.

A spokesperson for the club said: "In the coming weeks fans will see several additions to the site, the first being a new ticketing system which will allow both home and away fans to purchase their tickets online before travelling to the arena. It will also be a place where supporters can pay their membership fees, book tickets to other events such as our pre match dining, or even take advantage of special offers that the club are running.

"Soon after that we will be launching our online club shop, in association with kit suppliers Surridge Sports, where supporters will be able to buy their Hornets merchandise and have it delivered direct without the need to come to the club shop."

Chief Executive Adam Bates has been working closely with West Yorkshire-based web designers Fluid Creative Media to design the website.

Adam said: “We felt the need to bring our web content into line with the service other clubs provide to their fans, not just in rugby league, but in sports generally and this was an area we felt we could make a vast improvement for fans moving forward. The new website is a big step forward for the club and I believe it gives us the functionality that both home and away fans come to expect of a Championship club.”

Fans will see various other updates to the website over the next month, including player and coaching staff profiles, a page dedicated to our current partners, and a page linking potential sponsors with commercial opportunities at the club.
