Mayfield Mustangs under 9s won a low scoring game against Limehurst Lions under 9s in wet conditions at Hollinwood on Sunday.
Mayfield hit Limehurst with strong runs and crunching tackles, which was enough to secure the victory.
A club spokesman said: "The lads are coming on well and training hard which is showing on game day."
