Rochdale came unstuck at Glebe Street on Saturday, despite posting 222 for 6.
Cooper, with 93, led the way but a superb counter innings of the highest quality from Crompton’s professional Akbar Rehman, who made 116 not out, saw Crompton home with over two overs to spare.
