Cricket: Thunder stars meet All Stars

Date published: 04 August 2017

Heywood Cricket Club’s youngest players had chance to meet World Cup Winners and international players from around the world on Tuesday evening at Crimble as Lancashire Thunder landed on the club in association with motor company Kia.

A group of the All Stars were helped through their session by England players Sarah Taylor, Danielle Hazell and Kate Cross who were at the club with New Zealand duo Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu along with Natasha Miles, Ella Telford, Alice Dyson and Evelyn Jones.

As an added bonus for the youngsters Kia, the sponsors of the upcoming Kia Super League, brought along a bouncy castle and handout out KSL goodie bags to the participants.

The media were in attendance and the sun shone on a lovely evening for all concerned.
